Employee Spotlight: Melinda Weir
Who better to start our monthly employee spotlight than Melinda? She has been a loyal employee to Prior Attire for over half a decade. She is the fun-loving, bubbly, charismatic personality that holds us together! We don't call her the 'PA Cheerleader' for nothing! She is our customer service superstar who strives to make each and every customer that walks through the door feel special! Be careful though, if you come into Prior Attire and Melinda helps you, there's a 99.9% chance you will leave with a new designer handbag!
Tell me about yourself:
Hi, I'm Melinda!! I was born in Louisville, Kentucky but I have lived in Cleveland since 2002. I met my husband, Mac in Lexington, Kentucky but he was born and raised in Cleveland, so here we are! I still have some Kentucky in me though, I am a HUGE fan of the Louisville Cardinals! (like probably their biggest fan) I have always loved sports; I played softball and field hockey in college! I am a Boxer mom, I love my fur baby!
How long have you worked at Prior Attire?
6 years this April! We missed my work anniversary because of the quarantine! We will have to celebrate later!
What is your Role at Prior Attire?
Taking the lead on customer service and giving our customers the best service experience they can have in our stores!
What's your favorite thing about working at Prior Attire?
Definitely our customers and my co-workers!
Can you tell me of a time you were proud of the level of service you gave to a Prior Attire customer?
A few years ago, there was a young lady I helped in the formal store. She was plus size, so she was having the most difficult time finding a prom dress. She had been to several stores and she said she felt unwelcome in all of them. I was able to help this girl find a dress that fit her perfectly with shoes and jewelry to match! She was so thankful to have found a dress and it was so rewarding being able to show her that she is beautiful and always welcome here!
What's the top strength that you bring to the Prior Attire team?
I feel that I am the motivator of the group. I keep morale high and help us reach our goals!

Who inspires you?
My Mom. She has been through so much in life, but she has never stopped being the most supportive and loving mother anyone could ever ask for. She has taken some of life's hardest challenges and made it out stronger. She definitely inspires me every day.

Amy Schumer
What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Being a good wife to my husband, Mac.
If you had one wish from a Genie, what would you wish for?
A chauffeur to drive me around!!
